The Queensland Automotive Skills Alliance through its contractual arrangement with the Queensland Government administered by the Department of Education, Training and the Arts is committed to deliver the following products and services:  

  • Development of a three (3) year Industry Skills Plan
  • Two (2) Reports each year which provide current, medium and long-term skills gaps and skilling demand (shortages), major factors influencing industry demand for training, new initiatives and/or differing requirements for the skilling of new entrants
  • Provision of proactive ongoing advice relevant to the Industry Skills Plan
  • Participation in effective networks to ensure industry promotion within all DETA regions and the school sector
  • Training Package/ Products advice
  • Participation in the process for the declaration of new apprenticeships and traineeships
  • General skills recognition advice provision and referral services to suitable accredited bodies and Registered Training Organisations on a rotational basis
  • Participation in the development of a Skills Formation Strategy
  • Provision of technical advice for registration and compliance audits of Registered Training Organisations in Queensland

While the above products and services are a minimum requirement of the QASA, additional services and activities will be performed in an effort to exceed the expected deliverables/outcomes of the Contract.  It is the intention of the QASA to seek other sources of revenue to increase its’ capacity, services and overall value to the automotive industry, Government and the community.
